Title: Actually a very good mic that isn’t expensive. I recommend it for any gamer or Discord user.
Review: I have been using this mic for 2 years and still going. I needed something to quickly replace my lousy head set mic which introduced a lot of noise. I found this USB Tonor on Amazon after spending hours combing through countless of affordable mics and read enough reviews to convince me to give this one a try.I also bought a separate stand for it so I can maneuver it’s position more efficiently. (the closer it is to your face, the better the sound quality). I use it pretty much every day when I get on Discord or play games like Apex legends, Phasmophobia, etc. I have been told that it sounds great! :)I’ve messed around with Audacity and was also pleasantly surprised at how well this mic worked and how it made my voice sound like a radio personality. lol.Accessories:It does come with a removable foam filter and a round pop filter. The only negative here, is the pop filter’s arm. Mine is a bit flimsy and hard to keep in position. One slight tap and it moves. But, this is a very minor issue for me, as I can easily replace it with something a bit more sturdy. In then end however, I simply chose to not use one, as the foam cap was sufficient for my needs.I do wish the pop filter’s arm was removable from the base of the holder, but again, you can also replace the base itself with one that suits you needs.Sound transmission is very good and depends on uninterrupted USB connection. This is the first time I’ve used a USB mic, so I didn’t know what to expect. But it works great on my PC, connected to a USB 3.0 input. My specs for your reference:Motherboard: Asus B-450 F GamingCPU: Ryzen 5 3600RAM: Corsair 32GB 3600mhz dual channel mode.I also use a good quality braided USB extension cord and have added some ferrite rings at both ends of my USB cords to help reduce any EMI noise, just for good measure. Conclusion: I recommend it. It’s may not be an expensive studio professional grade mic, but it’s remarkably close and excellent for game and Discord use (and live streaming for that matter). Price is very fair if you need something in a pinch that doesn’t sound like a 1980s McD’s drive thru speaker phone. 🙂

Title: Excellent sound quality, wish it is more sensitive
Review: This review is long overdue. I have used the Tonor TC777 for the over a year now for VoIP and zoom call applications mostly in a quite, study room environment. The sound quality is excellent for that price range. I have a Windows 10 machine and never had a problem with USB driver nor windows detecting the microphone. The only complaint I have is I wish the microphone is more sensitive. I have to always set the volume to 100% in windows and need to speak at 6 inches in front of the mic. And even with that it is not even close to clipping nor too loud. The sound will be too soft for my taste with anything lower setting than that. For those of you who cannot resist opening the microphone, I have included some pictures of the interior. First, don’t try to ply open the plastic top open, you will break it this way. The metal grill is two halved and they are held on by some soft glue. Remove them and you can the 9.7mm condenser element suspended with a rubber thingy. You will also see four screws holding the plastic top from the body. Inside, there is a small circuit board glued to a form block and a chunky metal weight, pretty cheesy there. The circuit is a simple two stage BJT amplifier and a USB audio codec CM6327a. Go and have fun.

Title: Techie Take: A Solid Streaming Starter Kit
Review: As a tech enthusiast who dabbles in a bit of everything, I’m always on the hunt for gear that offers good value and performance without breaking the bank. The TONOR TC-777 USB Microphone caught my eye as an affordable option for upgrading my audio setup, and after putting it through its paces for a few weeks, here’s my honest review:Overall Impression:For the price, the TC-777 is a solid contender in the budget condenser microphone market. It delivers decent audio quality, a surprisingly sturdy build, and a plug-and-play convenience that I, as a techie, truly appreciate. While it won’t rival high-end studio mics, it’s a clear step up from most built-in webcams and headsets, making it a great choice for beginners or streamers on a budget.Pros:Plug-and-play simplicity: This was a huge win for me. No fiddling with drivers or extra software â just plug it in and you’re good to go. Perfect for those who want a hassle-free experience.Decent audio quality: The cardioid pickup pattern does a good job of focusing on your voice and minimizing background noise. Vocals sound clear and crisp, although they can get a bit harsh at higher volumes.Sturdy build: I was surprised by the solid metal construction of the mic and the stand. It feels surprisingly hefty and well-made for the price.Pop filter and shock mount: These included accessories are essential for reducing plosives and vibrations, and they work well here.Compact and portable: The foldable stand and mic make it easy to store and take on the go.Cons:Limited frequency response: Compared to higher-end mics, the audio can sound a bit thin and lack depth, especially in the low end.Picks up some background noise: While the cardioid pattern helps, it’s not perfect at isolating your voice in noisy environments. No gain control: This limits your ability to fine-tune the input level, which can be an issue if your voice is particularly soft or loud.-Quality of the product: The build quality is surprisingly good for the price, and the microphone itself seems durable.-Usefulness: This mic is well-suited for basic streaming, podcasting, and even some light home recording. However, musicians or audiophiles may need something more advanced.-Innovation: The TC-777 doesn’t break new ground, but it offers a solid feature set at an attractive price point.-Value: This is where the mic truly shines. It delivers decent audio quality and essential accessories at a price that’s hard to beat for beginners or budget-conscious users.Recommendation:If you’re looking for an affordable and easy-to-use microphone to upgrade your audio setup for streaming, podcasting, or casual recording, the TONOR TC-777 is a solid option. Its plug-and-play convenience, decent audio quality, and sturdy build make it a good value for the price. However, if you demand pristine audio quality or need more control over your sound, you’ll likely want to invest in a higher-end microphone.Final Verdict:4 out of 5 stars. A great starter mic for budget-minded creators, but audiophiles and professional users should look elsewhere.

Review: Editado.

Review: Used it to record online teaching materials for students. Great. Some issues with Powerpoint 365 recording though – erratic volume recorded, but I think this is a powerpoint issue (hoping for some help here) because in all other recording software, it performs consistently.

Review: This mic is so quiet, you almost have to speak very loudly within a foot of it to get any decent volume. If you are recording a video you look ridiculous. Horrible for gaming for the same reason. If you turn up the gain to compensate you of course get alot of additional noise. Couldn’t recommend. See like a common thing with this mic but unlike the other reviews, I dont like I could live with this. My cell and built in laptop mic does a better job.*Update* Seller reached out and was very helpful and resolvedy problem. Excellent customer service. Any company that stands by their brand is a company I would buy from.
