Title: The Lyric brand is very high quality but pricing is all over the place
Review: Sometimes i cannot afford this product depending on when or where i might buy it. Prices fluctuate a lot. This is my favorite of their line because the nuts are all finely chopped and flow easily through my bird feeder. Interesting that the only thing left in the feeder is the pistachio chips. Doves, cardinals and wrens eat all but that. On the plus side, there is no filler like millet or corn. Because it is pricy, I buy sunflower chips in 50 pound bags to dilute this product so it lasts longer. That allows this 15 pound bag last a few weeks. If price went down, then I would not have to dilute because the product is wonderful.

Title: No clean up.
Review: The cardinals love the food. Ground feeders finish the cleanup.

Title: Great Product!
Review: My backyard birds love this bird seed and it really is waste free. It seems a little pricey up front but between no mess to clean up under the feeder and very little waste it’s actually a good deal coming in at $2.67 per pound.

Title: Definitely attracts bluebirds, chickadees, thrushes
Review: I feed the squirrels and birds outside my door with this to entertain my inside cat (she hides behind a pillow and “attacks” the door occasionally – the birds aren’t fazed at this point). It does bring the desired birds to the table – there’s an afternoon group of bluebirds, a morning group of cardinals, a couple of chickadees who pop by, a thrush, and two squirrels that I adore. The squirrels actually knock on the door if I forget to put food out one day. The last two bags that I’ve gotten have been a bit disappointing though. The prior one seemed slightly stale; the food was a different color and had a dusty look. The current bag has a ton of those little yellow ball seeds. Nobody will eat them. So while the seeds themselves are no mess, no germination, I’ve got a mess of tiny yellow balls that will need to be swept / vacuumed up. I’ve got a new bag coming today, so I’m hoping that it’ll be a good one!

Title: Three Bird Feeding Tips I Learned, and as to the Food? It’s Worth the Price.
Review: I have been feeding birds for ages. My parents fed birds. We are bird people! I will say it took me a while to adapt to a few things that have changed my whole bird feeding view, especially after having running battles with squirrels for a very long time. So, here goes:1. I bought a Slinky. Yes, all those videos about using Slinkys on your poles to keep the squirrels at bay do work. Since adding them to our two poles, the squirrels just looking longingly up but no matter how much they try, they have not figured out how to defeat it.2. I bit the bullet, after reading many reviews, to pay more for a no-waste bird food. This food is more expensive then other brands, but let me give it the praise it deserves: I go through MUCH LESS food now. Why? Because the birds are not pushing the garbage seeds out to get to what they want. In addition, for some of the birds, like the nuthatches, that only like certain seeds, the ones they still push out are eaten by the juncos and sparrows, as well as the squirrels who poke around underneath the feeder. I have two feeders, and it’s been a month and I still have half a bag left of this bird food. Also, I moved the feeders up to our deck, and there is NO SEED LEFT underneath. It is all eaten by other birds or squirrels. No clean up. The juncos will even go under the deck to check for any seed that feel through. I am a true believer now of spending a little more for a much better result, as the value you get per pound is fantastic.3. I bought capscasin suet squares. A little more per pack, but birds are not bothered and the squirrels learn quickly to avoid them. I now have woodpeckers and chickadees happily feeding away without competing with the squirrels. Another example of spend a $1 more and use less overall. So, as to the seed, RUN don’t WALK to order this stuff. It is well made, seems fresh, and it’s just a good value for your dollar in the long run.

Title: My Lyric Tunes kernel blend brings the birds to the yard…
Review: Seriously good stuff…smells so good you could put it out with the snacks at a dinner party and I don’t think anyone would notice. Haven’t tried it myself, but I wouldn’t blame you if you did. The birds can go through 15lbs in just a few days. I just wish it was a little cheaper!

Title: Not for the birds
Review: I have three bird feeders set up on my balcony, which faces a wildlife preserve. I get tons of birds every day, from finches to cardinals to blue jays. While they love black oil sunflower seeds, I was looking for a bird feed without shells in order to prevent them throwing the hulls all over my balcony floor.Unfortunately, no birds will touch this. I gave it a few days, thinking that they were just confused by the change or something. I would sit on the balcony and watch as the birds sat on the feeder, looked at the new feed, and fly away. After a week, no birds would even come to check it out. I returned to my old seed and had a plethora of birds come back.Edit: I have changed my review to 3 stars, as I have been able to find a use for this feed. I started to put this *ONLY* in my flat feeder for the bigger birds. I do not put this in my tube or hopper feeders for the songbirds, as they have no interest in it. I use black oil sunflower seeds in those.Since I started putting this out, I get blue jays, doves, and squirrels. I love attracting the squirrels, personally, but keep in mind that this mixture has a lot of nuts if you don’t enjoy those visitors. I improved the rating because this specific group of wildlife seems to love it, but I still wouldn’t buy it again for my purposes.

Title: Some pieces are large
Review: Smells good enough to eat myself. The birds like it. I have found some rather large pieces for a bird and I have to break them up a bit. I do find my birds leave fruit and I have to remove some of it.
