Title: Special llama
Review: Lol this was the funniest project for my mom and my daughter to do together. We are slowly trying to teach her sewing, WELP, grandma had a little hard time and the llama turned out a little special lol. We laughed and had a good time and it’s a fun item she gets to bring with her everywhere. I am able to read instructions like these a little better than my mom but I think they could have made it a smidge less complicated without the middle strips, just one continuous piece on top, however that would not teach a lot of sewing skills so I understand. It looks, for the most part, like what the box shows so it’d be fun to do this again with other animals. My daughter is into axolotls so it’d be funny to see how one of those turned out lol.

Title: Fun little craft great for fine motor skills
Review: My daughyer and I worked on this together and now she takes it everywhere with her and I love that she learned to stitch which is great fine motor skills! This little llama is sooo cute and she is so proud to say she made it herself!

Title: It was fun, but the instructions arenât as clear
Review: I recently got the urge to try sewing a plushie, so I bought this for practice. My sister and I had our own kits and tried to sew our plushie. Admittedly, the instructions werenât exactly clear around the middle of sewing the body together, so we had to guess. The instructions paper was just pictures and a few words. I eventually managed to find my way around though, so if you donât already know what youâre doing it might take a bit of patience.

Title: Too complicated-Not for children
Review: Not a beginner project. I just got my teenage child into sewing and with this project he threw his hands up and walked away. To start there is only 1/16â seam allowance. Half of the project is stamped felt so thin your fingers go through it and itâs ruined. The remainder is due that sheds constantly and is a mess everywhere.The directions are pictorial and worse than IKEA. He was so excited when we ordered it and after he pulled everything out, so frustrated he put it aside. Donât buy it. Your child wonât want to see after this.

Title: Other reviewers were right – the directions are terrible.
Review: Buyer beware – this is a very difficult sewing project. The box says 5+ – that is crazy. We read the reviews about the directions but my granddaughter and I thought because we have a lot of experience sewing (for me 50 plus years), we would be fine. We were not. I cannot imagine how one could complete the llama with the tools and directions provided. After a lot of tears of frustration the first day, we completed it with my needles and thread and our own way of doing it having tried to decipher the intent of the pictures (no words). The upside is the llama is super cute, my granddaughter loves it and is proud of the work she did (using a whip stitch).

Review: Loved this. I bought it for my 6 1/2 year old grand daughter. The precut holes for the plastic needle was a little hard for her to line up so I feel an 8 year old will do well with it. A lot of fun for the little ones. Comes complete with everything you need. I recommend.

Review: This is a very basic kit for the price. There are much better kits at Kmart for less than half the price. Regretful purchase. The only positive is the kit was delivered on time as promised.
