Title: Classic story. A must for any toddler (especially ones that like dogs)
Review: Such a fun read. It was my favorite book as a toddler and definitely one of my son’s favorites. I didn’t appreciate until reading it as an adult how well written it is. Really good educational book for teaching toddlers prepositions and relational properties between nouns. This is the unabridged version. Previously we got the board book version which cut out the “Do you like my hat” pages. Those are some of the best parts! Skip the board book and get this one.

Title: Excellent Beginning Book
Review: There is a lot of drama about instructing young readers these days. I am a first grade teacher and have found Go Dog Go to be an excellent book for children that are just learning to read. There is some repetition and rhyme, but there are also a lot of opportunities for sounding out words. The context of opposites is also fun for students to understand. I bought four copies and use it with one of my struggling reading groups. They enjoy reading such a big and long book. They also love to reread it during read-to-self time. And, there are plenty of silly parts for us to laugh over which is always a plus.

Title: It’s a classic!
Review: Loved this when I was a kid, read it to my kids and now its my granddaughters favorite! It has the advantage of not dragging on to long, so an 18 month old child will, for the most part, pay attention without the mystery of where the dogs are going getting too old.

Review: Go Dog, Go is a hilarious tale full of whimsy and adventure. It follows a group of dogs as they romp and play, getting into all sorts of fun mischief. But don’t be fooled by the playful tone, because this book also packs a patriotic punch. When things get tough, these furry friends band together, using their bravery and smarts to overcome difficult challenges. Along the way, they learn important lessons about life. The writing is easy to follow and the characters are oh-so-lovable, making this a perfect read for kids and adults alike. In short, “Go Dog, Go” is a timeless novel that should have a spot on every bookshelf.
