Product Description
CP13 is a portable stereo cassette player, and it is currently the thinnest and most stable cassette player in production. It supports playing Type I to IV tapes.
To ensure a stable movement, a customized large pure copper balance wheel with a diameter of 30.4mm and a thickness of 4mm is selected. Additionally, a high-voltage drive motor powered by 4.2V is carefully chosen to maintain an extremely low oscillation rate, resulting in a more stable sound output.
In the pursuit of superior quality magnetic heads, meticulous screening processes have been implemented to ensure stringent control over the entire production of CP13 magnetic heads. The aim is to minimize the disparity between the left and right channels, surpassing the current standards of mass-produced models available in the market. Additionally, a balanced differential circuit design has been adopted for the acquisition of magnetic head signals, resulting in more stable signal transmission, higher signal-to-noise ratio, and lower distortion.
The CP13 is meticulously crafted with a dual-tone aluminum alloy shell, featuring a seamless design with no visible screws on the body. The buttons are treated with a hardened oxidation process, ensuring durability and resistance to wear and corrosion.
The volume knob of the aluminum alloy is designed with a large-volume analog volume potentiometer, which is more stable and reliable in quality compared to the flat potentiometers used in ordinary cassette players, providing a better tactile feel for adjustment.
Featuring the renowned JRC5532 operational amplifier. 1800mAh lithium cobalt oxide battery, providing over 13 hours of continuous playback for extended listening sessions.

Title: The best new option out thereâ¦
Review: Original Walkmans are reaching the age where finding a working one takes a miracle. To me, new comes with less headaches. However, most new players are toylike in construction and sound so tinny itâs not worth the order. The doors fall open, they eat batteries and always pick up computer/phone interference too. This player is worth the price. I got the red one, which looks sooo sleek in person. It feels premium and the buttons/knob are all solid. Sound-wise, I get the most range and detail from this player too, and the size isnât laughably huge like the We Are Rewind model. The rechargeable battery is awesome, feel free to rewind or fast forward as much as you want. No computer/phone interference.Letâs be real – cassettes in 2024 are best used as a fun, portable analog experience. This hits the spot. Slip on some decent headphones and youâre in business.

Title: Very well made new cassette player!
Review: I waited for 6 month since they announced there will be a transparent version of CP13, and HERE IT IS! I have this player for a couple hours, and here is my experience:1. Design and Control: The product it self is very well made, feels sturdy and solid. All buttons are smooth (compare to other cheap plastic crap for 30$ on amazon). The volume knob has decent resistances to it. The cassette door makes pleasant open and close sound and feedback.2. Sound quality: With a Type IV metal tape (Sony Metal Master), and use simulated 70us compensation via EQ curves, this little player could be on par with all my other vintage AIWA/SONY/Toshiba portable Walkman (sub 100$ range). There is not a ton of bass but enough for pop/classical/R&B, etc. Bass extension could be flat around 40Hz and roll down till 20Hz. The treble response amazed me actually, which has response all the way till 20kHz from my line-in result with Sony Metal Master. It could produce a flat out response till around 15-16kHz and start slow roll over. The frequency response is very good. The output power is much better than expected, and with a VERY LOW noise floor with my Balanced-Armature IM02 earphone, I could not detect noticeable motor hum and distracting noise from the electronics and amps. I am very pleased.3. Technical specs wise: The Wow & Flutter, well, check my picture. I have done a 10-min test with my reference tapes, and the result is 0.10~0.15% WRMS, with peak DIN around 0.24-0.3%. This is good for current mechanisms it uses, and I expect it will just be better over time as it break in. The default tape speed is about 1% faster than standard, and I have tuned using screwdriver through the internal pot, and now it is steady at 3145-3155Hz (I am using 3150Hz ref. tape). The stability is not perfect but acceptable if you compare to some vintage Walkman, but it is the flaw for current mechanism. I do encountered azimuth error by little amount, and it is an easy fix if you have the reference tape. The issue is the cassette door holder, which I found that it is a bit loose for some slim cassettes. This could cause discrepancy in tape azimuth when you change the orientation of this player.Overall I am very pleased with this player (especially I only paid 28$ since I have gift card haha). For 99$, you could get rid of hassle in changing belts, oiling mechanism, replacing capacitors, and many more repairing in vintage players that lived over 30 years. I recommend this product as anyone who are newly to tapes or wants a backup player for daily uses.

Title: Old School Awesome
Review: Weâll start out with mine came initially defective. Take-up hub would not rotate freely and therefore ate some tape. Once I figured out the issue, forced the hub fee and the player is working now as advertised. Now the good⦠This player has great sound. Mine is paired with Grado Labs SR 60e headphones. Sound as good as one of my 80âs TEAC audio deck. The battery life is excellent, controls are smooth and fit and finish (aside from above abnormality) is excellent.I do recommend this cassette deck.

Title: The nostalgia
Review: Just received it and listening now. First off, true to Fiio form, it’s way overbuilt. I mean it’s solid, the whole thing is made to last, no questions. After a quick charge, fired it up and put in Aerosmith Greatest Hits from 1993. Playing through also new Koss Porta Pros and holy nostalgia.Sound is warm, and better mastering equals better sound. Seems well balanced, big mids and smooth low end. Not overly bright as I somewhat expected. Headphones will be the key to equalization success due to no on board feature for it, which is absolutely cool in my book. I’m actually surprised how good this sounds and will have to try my HD600s for kicks. It might not be “audiophile” quality, but it’s lively and I dig it for the same reasons I like vinyl.I have no complaints about the player. Looks good, well built, sounds a lot better than expected and has the essential features. Auto stop would be nice, but not a deal breaker, just pay attention when rewinding. I remember when auto stop was as much a new feature as bass boost on CD players. Because it has a rechargeable battery (thank you Fiio for the type c), a level indicator would be nice, but again not a big deal. How serious can you be with a cassette player?Overall, if you’re wondering about it, just do it. Buy it. Buy some vintage inspired headphones and kick it.

Title: Sound is just plain bad
Review: While I had high hopes for this cassette player because of the higher price, the sound quality is terrible. The music and vocals sound like an echo and bad. like it’s underwater. I tried 3 different pairs of headphones and it still sounds terrible. A return is coming.

Review: What is there not to love about this device.5. Beautifully crafted. Simple and well built. A stainless steel cover and nice red and silver paint job. Love the colour.4. 80’s meet 2020 with type C rechargeable batteries. No AA’s needed, Yay.3. Fii0 focused on the most used part on the unit, the volume control! So nice, well done with the ergonomics, feels nice, no digital volume here, thank you!!2. Sound quality is obviously not as detailed as digital, but it is PUNCHY. I use my Marshall headphones and my ears really enjoy the analog sound. Very little wow and flutter when walking. The volume goes LOUD, just like the “old days”!1. Nothing beats nostalga, I am enjoying my mix tapes again and.making new ones. I am very impressed with this return to the eighties “Walkman”. Well done Fii0! It has an honourable placement in my Walkman collection of the past!

Review: This cassette player is nice and solid in build, the sound is very good and natural whilst listening through headphones. When i hook it up to my hi fi system it sounds amazing to my ears, the control buttons function very well and the battery when charged will last for many hours. Remember this is a cassette player only and not a recorder so be aware of that. I think this cassette player is very good quality, so would i recommend it ? Of course i will i love it 5/5.
