Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods

Eliminate Rising Damp in Three Simple Steps

Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods are patented fiber rods that carry a powerful water-repellent material. They are simply inserted into holes drilled at regular intervals along a mortar course. Once inserted, the rods diffuse their water-repellent material along the mortar course, curing to form an effective barrier to rising damp.

They have been scientifically proven to eliminate rising damp even in highly-saturated walls. This performance has also been internationally tested and approved.

Eliminates rising damp without needing specialist pumps or injection tools Simple installation procedure – Just drill, clear and install Outperforms competing treatments, even in highly-saturated walls 100% active ingredient patented technology Extensively tested and internationally approved

Three Simple Steps to a Damp-Free Wall

Step 1 - Drill holes into the mortar course at 120 mm intervalsStep 1 - Drill holes into the mortar course at 120 mm intervals

Step 2 - Clear the hole using a Dryrod Hole Clearing ToolStep 2 - Clear the hole using a Dryrod Hole Clearing Tool

Step 3 - Insert the Dryrods into the holes and let them work their magicStep 3 - Insert the Dryrods into the holes and let them work their magic

1. Drill

A row of holes should be drilled at 4¾” intervals along the mortar course using a ½” drill bit. For standard 9″ thick walls, the drill hole depth should be 8¼”.

2. Clear

Excess debris should be cleared from the hole using a Dryrod Hole Clearing Tool or a suitable vacuum cleaner.

3. Install

Insert a single Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rod into each hole, ensuring that they are recessed approximately ¼” from the brick face without forcing the rod into the hole.

Dryrods Deliver the Correct Dose Every Time

Traditional rising damp treatment methods utilize cream or liquid injection. These methods can be prone to operator error leading to under-treatment and DPC failure. Due to their unique patented design, Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods deliver the correct dose of active ingredient every time.

Review: For the first dry rod project I undertook I thought I could save money by cutting the rods down with a sharp knife. I found this surprisingly difficult, and the same with scissors. The problem is the rods are actually surprisingly tough.I bought this tool for a subsequent dry rod project and found that it cuts the dry rods down to size effortlessly – giving a very clean cut i’m saving a great deal of time (and mess). You don’t have to cut rods down if using in a solid brick wall (9”), but for single leaf walls or cavity walls etc you’ll need to cut rods down. Therefore you have any cutting to do at all I’s highly recommend not being without this tool.
