Title: crime thriller
Review: Detective Bridgette Casseldhorf (27, Hartbourne Metropolitan PD homicide Lance’s partner, CJ, retired USN, Annapolis, engineering), & Detective Lance Hoffman (61, Hartbourne Metropolitan PD homicide) arrived at the crime scene. There were 8 police officials at the crime scene 2 tech, a photographer, & Dr. Ray Warner (55+, ME).Seymour (Vietnam vet) & his dog had come across the decomposed corpse of Monica Travers (19) who had disappeared.South-Central Precinct building. Chief Inspector Felix Delray (55+, boss) wanted to hear what Detective Hoffman & Detective Casseldhorf found at the crime scene.Asst. Commissioner Leo Cunningham wants briefed & then plans on holding a press conference.Charlie Bates (25+) was assigned to help unravel the murder case.Don Raisin (archives # B2) was helping also. Will the murder case be resolved & someone brought to justice?I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. All thoughts & opinions are entirely my own.A very awesome book cover, & proper great font & writing style. A very well written whodunnit murder mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a large set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great murder mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.Thank you for the free BookSirens; Author; PDF bookTony Parsons (Washburn; MSW)

Title: Good thriller
Review: This is a fast paced, smart detective story. The lead character is flawed but a hard worker determined to fit into a man’s world, and her colleagues are well developed, recognizable detectives. With a few good twists and turns, it will keep you reading!

Title: Detective Bridgette Cash is a powerhouse
Review: I absolutely loved this book very much, I really liked the writing it was really good. It was simple, but effective, it was in your face, but it left you wanting more. When it came to Detective Bridgette Cash I really fell in love with her character she is a force to be reckoned with. Not only is she highly intelligent, but her martial arts background was really cool. What really made me respect her character was her relentless pursuit of the truth regardless of the consequences, and just how she manages to put the pieces together in order to figure out the killers next move. She is a fighter no matter what problems she faces comes out of it in one piece. This series is really good so far im almost done with the second book. I have all 6 books i really can’t wait to dive back into it.

Title: Riveting thriller
Review: This book grabbed my attention from the first sentence as rookie Detective Bridgette Casseldhorf and her seasoned partner, Detective Lance Hoffman are at a crime scene where the medical examiner is exhuming a rancid, decaying corpse of a young woman from a shallow grave. Detective Hoffman is a crusty “old-school” cop who is three months from retirement.Several observations by Bridgette lead her to suggest that this killing may be the work of a serial killer. Hoffman immediately dismisses this notion as the fantasies of a young and naïve rookie. But, as Bridgette investigates several similar unsolved cases, she uncovers several links that were common to these unsolved cases. Hoffman and their boss, Chief Inspector Felix Delaney, come around to her way of thinking. As this plot unfolds, another piece of tragic history is revealed and soon tied to the current investigations. Bridgette’s father was a homicide detective in the same police station 20+ years ago. When Bridgette was 4-years old, her mother was murdered as Bridgette was secluded in a closet in their home. Her father was the prime suspect and, since he fled, assumed to be guilty. As the plot unfolds, it is revealed that Hoffman and Bridgette’s father were close friends, as was Inspector Delaney who was also a detective at the time. Additional links are revealed that I won’t address so as to not provide any spoilers. As they investigate the serial killings, Bridgette and Hoffman come to realize that they have never seen such a careful killer who is highly skilled at planning and rehearsal of his kidnappings and murders. He has a long string of successful killings and has evaded detection and identification because of the planning, rehearsal and careful execution of his plans. The killer has actually been looking forward to the mental challenge of a highly skilled victim who doesn’t just submit to him without a serious challenge. So, while Bridgette and other policemen lure him into a position to capture him, he likewise lures Bridgette into a trap that threatens to be terminal for her as a victim. There are a lot of emotional roller-coaster rides in this book. There are unexpected twists and turns, some enjoyable and some not. This is true both in regard to the serial killer and the case of her Bridgette’s murdered mother and missing father. Some aspects of these mysteries are resolved. Other await resolution in the second and/or third books in this new Bridgette Cash Series of which this was book 1. (Bridgette found out that her dad had been using the surname Cash and she decided to change hers.)The plot is complex and multi-faceted and there is a fairly large cast of characters. Some plot twists were predictable, others not so much. I thought that there were a few things that were not logical but consider them to be fairly minor flaws for a work of fiction. It certainly held my attention from the first page to the last. I highly recommend it and look forward to continuing with the series.I received an ARC through Book Sirens. My review is provided voluntarily.

Title: Kept me engaged until the end
Review: This is my first book from this author and I can say I enjoyed the story very much. I found Bridgette a very sympathetic character, The story has a good amount of darkness and excitement and moved along at a good pace and I found it difficult to put down. There are two separate storylines, one is resolved and the other is not. It is NOT a cliffhanger it is the first book in a series/serial. Although I was left wanting to know more about Bridgette, it was a satisfying ending. Some reviewers’ complaints might have been better if they had read that this is a YA novel.I received a copy of this book through BookSirens and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
