Review:  TL;DR – great for all levels, not my first time doing sfx makeup, has all the tools you need to begin with.This is my first sfx kit, but not the first time I’ve done sfx makeup. It’s a pretty good starter kit for people who have not done sfx before, since it has most tools that you’d need. I do wish it had a few toothpicks to get better scar carve outs than what the blade can offer, but that’s my personal opinion. I’ve previously used liquid latex & ripped cotton pads for my scar makeup to make it look more straggly, but I needed some wax and more fake blood for my Halloween look this year. Might update this review with how that look turns out.You will need your own concealer to blend it into your skin, of course. I just tested this out with stuff I use on my face, which is obviously not the same shade as my hand (as seen in the video).It comes with instructions & I was following the instructions to test it out. The wax did dry out very quickly, though, and has started cracking within the 10-15 minutes since I did the makeup (see photos for reference/comparison). I don’t really mind it, though, as it gives it a more rugged/gory look, so it’s not all smooth, which I love. The grosser, the better, for me.

Review: My daughter is obsessed with make up and special effects so caved in to latex and bought her this product. It arrived and she was super excited was a lot smaller than expected but the quality of product is fantastic. The blood is very realistic and she loved the latex to create special effects. If your child or adult enjoys make up and creating different looks. A lot of you tubers are doing this! Then I recommend this as a starter kit I was a bit dubious, as she has sensitive skin, but after doing a patch test no adverse reactions and easy to remove. Great product.

Review: I got this for a zombie themed murder mystery me and my mum went to at Halloween. The murder mystery itself wasn’t great, and ended up being more vampire themed, but the latex makeup was a hit.I put the special effects makeup on my mum and the first couple of fake wounds weren’t too great as the instructions are not particularly detailed. You need to put a layer of glue down first, let it dry and then put on the wax. The wax itself is much easier to mould when it is slightly warmed up. I used body heat to make it more malleable. Over the wax put another layer of glue and leave that to dry. Once dry you can add the fake blood. The sponges are really good to use to help spread it better.I might have been a bit of an idiot, but the first couple of attempts I didn’t realise you needed to wait for the glue to dry and I was fighting to get that wax to stay on the skin.Overall really fun to play and experiment with.
