Title: It works great for small to medium venues
Review: I purchased the PMP500MP3 and was a little worried at first. It works great for small to medium venues. It accomplishes everything that I ask it to do. Vocals are crisp and reverb is on point. Great value in a compact powered amp.

Title: nice but has issues
Review: This device provides a lot of useful functionality at an amazing price. However… it is always producing at least 26 Watts of heat. This wouldn’t be a big deal except that it also has very poor ventilation. In a 72F room, the air coming out of the vent is 107F at idle. At low output it gets very hot, so I wouldn’t even think of using it at it’s supposed 500W rating. I’ve been using it at low volume for about 40 hours over the course of a week and the 107F hot-plastic smell is still enough that it requires external ventilation. Also the fan produces a high pitch tone that isn’t loud but is still annoying. For comparison, Amazon is also selling the Rockville RPM48S that offers similar functionality with less channels, but has some nice extra features like an LED screen for song titles, and a pan control. The Rockville idles at 13 Watts and has much smarter ventilation, so it runs quiet and cool. The downside of the Rockville is that the pots feel cheaper and easier to break than the Behringer.

Title: So disappointed didn’t work
Review: I was so excited to purchase this unit to add to my DJ gigs I am very familiar with using this PA mixer for the last 20+ years I have used a Yamaha Stagepas 300, which has worked great. I was So disappointed when the Behringer mixer came in on 9/17/24 I plugged everything up to my speakers aux to my laptopand nothing no sounds, no lights on the limiter the only lights that would stay on were under the wireless mic image. I plugged into the AUX on ch 5/6, and nothing I tried ch 7/8 nothing plugged in a mic nothing no movement on the limiter lights, the funny thing is some reviews stated the fan making noise I put my ear to the vent ports and could hear a fan or feel any air I return the defective item. It’s hard for me to believe that we order things on AMAZON for the convenience of not driving out to the store and wasting time. but the truth is when items are defective and we have to return them to Amazon, it is more of a waste of time driving out to a drop-off and then waiting 37 days for a refund this is the 2nd item I have returned to AMAZON1st item Rockville 8ch mixer in August defective

Title: Sounds good but ignore the 500 watts power rating.
Review: Cheap, lightweight and portable. Very quiet fan. Overrated power by a mile. No ability to balance left and right channel for mains or unpowered monitor outs so all outs get identical mix. I wanted to drive just one speaker with both amp channels but there is no internal bridge mode.

Title: Great small mixer
Review: This little mixer is quite a powerhouse. It provides a clean, noise-free sound, with a great bottom end. Now, admittedly, this will depend on your needs/usage. The vocals sound great and with adjustable reverb, its quite versatile. The only negative I can see is, it runs pretty hot. I have a dedicated fan to help eliminate a shut off in the middle of a show. This has never happened, but due to the heat it generates, better to be safe than sorry. I did purchase two of these. One for performance and one for rehearsal studio and a backup, which is always good. All in all, I’m happy with my purchases.

Title: well balanced and easy to set up to get the best aural experience
Review: Ample sound for my needs, well balanced and easy to set up to get the best aural experience. I was happy to find it available separately from speakers (which I did not need) and the price is very good.

Title: Not for live music
Review: This mixer is quieter than a 400 watt (200w+200w) Peavey mixer. I would not recommend for live music even in a small room, this mixer is easily drowned out by percussion and wind instruments. The only situation I could see this being useful is for speaking engagements in small to medium sized rooms.
