Title: Very Nice
Review: 96GB Digital Voice Recorder with Playback, Voice Activated Recorder with Noise Reduction MIC, High-Fidelity Speaker and Password Protection, Metal Casing Audio Recorder for Lectures, MeetingsI ordered this digital recorder on July 14th, received message that delivery was delayed, then a couple weeks later received message that it may have been lost during transit, but I just waited and waited and waited, then saw movement in tracking a couple days ago so knew it was still proceeding, arrived yesterday August 6th, via USPS, left at our front gate. Amazon box was a little smashed but the retail box inside was undamaged, likewise when I tested the recorder it turned on.The retail box is really nice, nice enough that you could gift the recorder with just a ribbon on the box, was sealed on each end with tape, recorder was secured and protected by fitted foam that perfectly fit the size of the recorder which was further protected by a plastic bag. It comes with the USB charging cable and the input cable to plug into your phone or other device.Note: Only supports Android cell phones but must have OTG Converter that is not included.Also do not record while plugged into a computer.Refer to instructions if your computer does not recognize/pair with the digital recorder, may need to download Snappy Driver Installer or Iobit Driver Booster software.You will need to throughly read the instructions, maybe a couple zillion times, but will definitely have reference the instructions as you familiarize yourself with this digital recorder. It is not a simplistic on/off record and play recorder, it is a little complicated (not hard just need to read instructions). I just pushed buttons the first time, just wanted to see if it shipped partially charged, which it did so it turned on so I figured out which button was the on/off button and which button was to switch modes (requires 2 hour charge before use). The display screen is large enough that the print is easy to read.The choice of options, features and function is a lot, so you will be referencing the instruction manual a lot, especially if you only occasionally use this digital recorder. Or you can simply not mess with the default settings and just use it as a basic recorder, on/off and record/play.The instruction manual is kind of okay, is obvious that was written by someone that English is not their primary language, so some word use is incorrect. But the manufacture did make sure that everything was explained. This is not a 3 page 150 word instruction manual. It is 24 pages long and very detailed.The suggested MSRP is not expensive but also not a cheap $10 USB recorder. The fit and finish is very nice, has a heavy and solid feel, does not feel cheap. Iâve only played with it a couple hours yesterday and a couple hours this morning, have gone down the list of options/features/functions while following the instruction manual. Everything works fine, Voice Activated Recording is sensitive enough that it recorded fine while in my pants pocket, but it will pick up and record the fabric rubbing the recorder if you are moving or walking (even with noise reduction turned on). Iâve owned a couple digital pocket recorders that costed a lot more and this digital recorder has twenty times the options/features and recording quality is way better. I am giving this digital recorder a 5 Star rating.

Title: A solid personal recorder
Review: This is a nice little personal recorder. Its omnidirectional mic has decent pickup up to about 2.5 feet or so, with greatly diminishing pickup beyond that. Its screen is bright and clear, and it is fairly intuitive to navigate, with most menus navigable with the forward/reverse buttons on the side and the front facing buttons (play/pause, menu, and return). I wish it had dedicated volume control buttons or volume slider, but instead you have to press the volume button on the side, then use the forward/reverse buttons on the side to adjust the volume. I have accidentally switched the playback track several times by pressing the forward/reverse buttons before pressing the volume button first when all I wanted to do was adjust the volume.The recorder is about the size of a pack of gum, and fits easily in the hand. Its metal body has surprising heft to it, which feels quite nice and sturdy. It is very easy to grab out of a pocket and hold up to take quick voice notes, and although it is easy to set down on a surface to record, its slightly rounded bottom (when standing vertically) makes it unable to stand straight up.It can record in either wav or mp3 format, with multiple bitrates and corresponding file sizes and recording times, and recording in wav format is noticeably better sounding than mp3 format. The recorder also offers some options aside from the formats and bitrates, such as noise reduction and gain controls, automatic file splitting based on recording length, automatic recording based on sound pickup, and automatic recording or shutdown based on time of day.The recorder includes 96gb of storage – 32gb onboard, and 64gb in an included microSD card. The recorder can connect to a PC with the included USB-C to USB-A cable, but I could not get it to connect with other USB-C cables I tried, which is a shame, as the included cable is only about a foot long.Overall, it’s a nice personal recorder, with good options but some limitations, as well. Great for personal recording or recording someone face-to-face (as in setting it down between yourself and an interview subject), but its pickup isn’t really strong enough to use in a classroom or lecture hall setting.
